Spider has 3 weaknesses. Goat has none.
Idk why but the spider boss is awful for me. Maybe the greatsword is a bad weapon for it.

Use phantom veil and inner fury.

I suppose that EASY mode should be EASY. But bosses have so much HP! I need about 3 minutes to finish every boss. I think that HP should be 50% less on EASY MODE.

Ghost Fire Goat in side mission for sure. No openings. Definitely unbeatable VS the main mission Goat, which is roughly balanced correctly.

Recommended level 34 my ass. Maybe at 80 when you have some damage to chip away at his huge HP and no opening moveset.

You can make openings by using reflections.

Nah, I'm not introducing a new parry with a completely new timing. Not my strong point. Nor is many buttons. In fact I have not manage to pull it of once.

I know for a fact that trying to learn a new timing would make the boss much harder, would take 2-3 weeks to learn and permanently and ireversably damage my ability to use the timing of my current moves. That's how my brain works.

I see. It's probably the most powerful mechanic in the game. Was hoping you could use it.
Not really, if you perfect parry them 20 times they're quite fast to go down.

What? You can't fit in random 0,1 narrow window? Git gud @ any wannabe hardcore imbecile

Yeah and most uninituitive too.

Yeah and most uninituitive too.

What's unintuitive about it? This game allows you to see the active frames when you just use it (you flash white).

Not to mention it's how the parry works in the original dark souls games.

I thought you were talking about reflection.

Yes, I'm talking about the unlockable move found in the Common skill tree. Allows you to cancel the opponent's string and gives you a huge opening vs bosses.

Seems to me that bosses in this game are designed with pretty high damage uptime in mind.

So if you go into it with the traditional souls-like mindset and take turns attacking with the boss they will take forever to kill.

But with the correct skill setup we can pretty much attack constantly (especially spear). Hits between attacks, into dodge/guard counters into active dodge abilities into stagger and repeat.

The idea is to exploit every opening there is, and there are a lot of tools allowing us to do that in this game.

HP isn't bloated the moment you start understanding you're supposed to do combos, not a two/three hit and back off like you do in dark souls.

HP burns real fast once you start realizing that.
When you get a brutal attack indicator, you open stagger combo potential. What is this? It means as long as you are hitting them, you are putting damage onto them that they can't avoid.

When you get a reflect, you get stagger combo potential.

When you hit them during specific moves, you get stagger combo potential.

If you just sit there and wait for an opening, you will be waiting a long time, you need to make one.
