Any point in fighting remnants?

I think they are there for people who want to level up the summons? Or just use summons in general. Outside of that they give souls and gear.

Not really. Besides getting gear to augment or if you summon helpers on bosses. Oh they are a good source of element resistance accessories that's all i can think of to kill them for.

I use them to level my skills and get gear to augment my current gear. Outside of that, it's mainly for leveling my phantoms.

Just like Nioh they are the number one source of better gear

they are just loot pinatas really. i'm fighting them and maxing the advocate because I plan to do newgame ++ with summon to see how that works out
