Do I need to know anything about the story going in, also any chance it supports 32:9?

I have no idea about the world or lore it's set in, I'm assuming it doesn't matter at all if I haven't a clue? Was also wanting to run it on a super ultrawide. Game looks cool and may pick it up. Thanks!

No need to know anything, I didn't. The game is a prequel to the universe it's in, so it's probably fresh for those who have prior knowledge. I'd recommend playing the demo to see if you like the game, then buying if you're interested. Your progress will save.
