How low is the droprate for Fallen Lords Claw? (Viper boss farm)

So i've been trying to get this set. Beat him a few times, fairly fast since i'm in the second region at Maluca...? I think that's his name.

So I pommel him fairly easily. However he does not drop it. It's just a low drop rate, right? Me being overleveled doesn't matter?

You’re just unlucky or I was very lucky. I had all the materials in 8 runs. Dropped almost every run. That’s been my experience with every boss so far

Wait, you can farm bosses in this game and bosses have droprates?..

You could try farming Xaldin instead. She drops the set and so maybe she also drops the claw.

You just have to beat Maluca.

Yep. You can refight the bosses as much as you want. That's how I scored a full set of the blade phantom gear. :)

If you can, get/make a full bard set. It increases rare drop rates by 20% I believe, and increases lacrima/stamina regen while at full health which is great for farming. You can also buy a few of the boss items (max 3 of each) from the jar vendor.
