Game's too easy
After playing the demo, I haven't changed my greatsword once. Every other weapon is worse than the demo one, so there is no point changing things up. Just beat viper on my 8th try it was kinda boring. Is this game like this through out?

Demo and full version are the same game. Not beta

Yeah, I don't know what all these people saying "I spent 5 hours learning XXX" yesterday... no boss took more than 30 minutes here and I'm not even trying with builds: just putting points equally and picking whatever has the highest number.

Yes, but the demo weapons are insanely strong and they remain usable without any adjustment to the stats if you continue the full game with a demo save. Just compare demo gear to anything from the full version with similar level. The level 1 dual wield from demo is stronger (by a huge margin) than anything I could find in the first mission in the full game.
You're using the demo weapon, which is extremely overpowered and was never meant to be used in the full release, and complaining about difficulty.

Smooth brained typical Steam thread.

Devs intended for those weapons to be used. If those weapons weren't intended to be used in the full game, devs would have easily fixed it.

except that's not how games are updated on steam. in a perfect world demos would always be same version as release but regularly demos are out of date or are not quickly updated to the full release build. it's really not unusual for demos to be left as an older build

damn, and here i was thinking it would be bad for me to use the deluxe weapons when we got OP demo weapons lol.

I mean they can patch the full release so to downgrade all weapons if there was a need. But obviously that's how they intended for things to work

.... they did exactly that! the scaling in release gear drops are worse than in the demo, that's what so many people keep telling you

do you really think it would be a high priority for them to adjust some demo weapons out of all the things they could be working on?

the fact that you said you are aware yourself that "every other weapon is worse than the demo one" shows that you knew something was off. the devs don't need to spoonfeed you information like this when you can tell it's clearly an unbalanced weapon

what i expect happened is they did a tuning pass on weapons and scaling- decided that demo ones were too strong, so changed it for full release

play with normal weapons and you will find that you want to swap out the weapon much more often
So devs publically nerfed bosses, but they didn't nerf starter weapons. Sorry, i just don't trust what people say on the internet without being skeptical
i didnt play the demo and didnt get any starter weapons that are OP. you mean nerf the DEMO weapons that carried over to the full.

honestly i had no idea that i could get OP weapons by playing the demo, and instead started off with the full game. If you want a challenge then throw those weapons away, or if you are a noob then play the demo first lol.

the way it works is they patched the drop rates, so any drops you get will be lower than before but if you already had the weapon before they patched the drop rates, then you will still have that weapon thats overtuned. just simply nerfing all weapons wouldnt work, they would need to remove the weapon in question from your inventory first.

Ya, removing can be done via patch. It's just code, not rocket science. A patch can have a piece of code which checks the save file for some sort of a tag or version, then if it doesn't match up, it can apply changes to that savefile and mark it as patched. One and done solution. But they are not doing it, hence it's intended.
