Gear? What am I missing?
My level 11 uncommon neglected greatsword is 30+ damage better than the level 25 uncommon neglected greatsword.

Love this game, but the gear distribution and leveling is horrid... I still have level 5 pants, at level 25, because it's the best pair I have; not because i can't find any other pairs of pants but because everything else is lower defense.

What is with this stat scaling? The level 11 greatsword is B+ while the level 25 greatsword is B, which makes it no where near worth using because it is significantly less damage.

Maybe someone can wrap my mind around how this gear system was thought of as something that's good. I am confused on how 5 hours in and I still have the same pants I got 5 minutes in.

I didn't play the demo and i have only seen B first line and C on second line on all my items no variation at all, as far as DMG goes it's a crap shoot, lvl 80 spear with 85 less DMG than a lvl 50 ???? i'd say it needs fixing..
You need to look at the attributes on the weapon. The lvl doesnt necessitate the stats. A higher level greatsword may have lower attack but also have something like potent attack damage + x% or something. Your lower level weapon might have damage + × etc...

Those are weapons from demo area that for some reason retained the original scaling that is B+&B while release version of the game has B&C scaling.

He's talking about a bug that he wasn't aware of, and perhaps you are also unaware of. As the first person to respond mentioned, there are bugged weapons from the demo area that have higher stat scaling than anything else in the game, that being B+ on the main stat and B on the sub stat. Those weapons are substantially stronger than anything else, regardless of rarity or weapon level, assuming you focus on increasing those stats when you level your character, instead of leveling health or stamina.

Just as an example, my bugged level 147 Uncommon spear is doing about 300(roughly 40%) more damage than a similarly leveled Epic spear, as a result of the stat scaling.

If I had to guess/hope, the real issue is that all the weapons were supposed to have different stat scaling as they increased in rarity, but they just don't in the full game, for whatever reason. I have to believe they didn't intend for all the weapons of every rarity to have the same stat scaling, because if so, why even mention stat scaling with a letter, and why is there an representation of a "+" scaling.

This all makes sense now; I guess we're (if youre using demo weapons) using weapons that are technically better than the rest because of the scaling issue (bug?). Would be nice to see some A- to A+ but I guess I can't complain as Ive been using a weapon that's stronger than intended. Helped with Viper thoo :D

was curious about this. i guess iil continue using the demo weapon the whole game then, no point in looking at other weapons lol
