Also I’m sick and tired of this weird average player rhetoric. Why do we assume the average player just ignores the skills they pick, the stats they put into builds, and basic game mechanics?
Comfort is subjective. Also of course if you know what the boss is doing then you can deal with it. That is literally the point and draw of these souls like bosses. You die until you learn it.
Also who cares about tacking on lovetaps in between enemy animations? Spear gets zero damage from brink guard unlike greatsword or dual wield. Finding lovetap openings is by some metric slightly more difficult than doing the basic mechanic of brink guard.
Listening to you guys argue about game is like @_@
Humanoid bosses regen stamina far too quickly, but most annoyingly they have close to no delay between getting hit and regen kicking in.
An example - as a greatsword user my attack sequence normally looks like this - Helm Break -> Savage Momentum -> Mortal Blow -> Limit Break - the delay between Mortal Blow and Limit Break is enough for boss stamina regen to kick in and bump their stamina enough so Limit Break doesn't stagger them.
The only way around it is having Night's Veil active 24/7...
That’s because the hit stun on mortal blow is very short. You are dropping the combo. You need to have phantom knight’s veil active for it to combo and even that won’t combo on some bosses. If you are trying to combo into limit break with phantom knight’s veil on, a better combo path is any of the following
Savage momentum>delay> limit break
Savage momentum> furious swipe> helm break onslaught> limit break
Savage momentum> inner fury> limit break
Savage momentum> giant hunt> limit break
Unfortunately mortal blow as a combo tool is pretty boss specific. The hit stun is just too short. It’s better used on exhausted enemies or as a finishing attack for the combo. Or ironically the uncharged version has more hit stun so you could use that. But on bosses that mortal blow does function as a good combo tool you need phantom knights veil to combo into limit break so if you aren’t using that you are better off using counterstrike slam or furious swipe after mortal blow.
Yet, there are players who say that he needs nerf and is crazy hard and people have been stuck there for hours and are close to giving up, most bosses in this game are hard just because of their ridiculous amount of HP, Maluca is one of like 4 bosses with normal amount of HP and just hard to learn timings.
Every boos fight is hard for some people, even Yetuga and Blade Phantom are challenging for some players, but others will say they are the easiest out there. Sometimes you have to think about others too, not just yourself.
Maluca is considered a hard boss by the community, I said he doesn't seem that hard for me, but that doesn't mean that he is an easy boss for other players. He is and will always be a hard boss, no matter if you beat him on your 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 120th try.
There's the objective reality that bosses dont have too much HP. The only reason some players reach that conclusion is that they're not using certain mechanics, are bad at them or don't understand the game fundamentally.
I use the greatsword, and the only advice I can give is, play aggressive and poison him if you can.
They mentioned it on April 2nd. I posted that on the 28th of March.
