tips on first yeti boss

hey does anyone have any tips for the very first big yeti boss?
i dont know im slow or what but he keeps wrecking me, and i refuse to turn the game to easy mode lol, any tips would be appreciated!

Your moveset is extremely limited at that point in the game, unfortunately. Off memory from the demo 2 months ago, you could fit in a single attack in between his punches and recover just in time to block the next punch. The boss really is just about parrying him over and over and being patient.

If you're getting hit by the big ice attack, it's best to just block it and take the small amount of chip damage.

He leaves big openings after "he's done". He also probably hates fire if you have some enhancers.

Look out for any charges/grabs.

Learn how to perfect block. It's hard but you really need to. Without that, you'll have a tough time beating the game. Its doable but you'll need to be really good at the game.

Every boss in any Souls game have set patterns of attack. This game is no different.

When hes about to swing, block. You'll know its a perfect block when you hear a big sound effect with a visual cue too.

The reason you wanna perfect block is that it also does damage to their stamina bar. Which once is depleted, they will be staggered and you can go ham on them until the circle prompt is almost over. And then right before it disappear, press B or O to do a big attack on them. That will do tons of damage and also replenish some of your stamina. After that the enemy stamina will replenish too and you have to rinse and repeat. Perfect block attacks from boss and attack when you can, break the boss stamina bar, boss gets staggered, go ham on them, press B (or O) for big attack. Repeat.

Use uncharged potent attacks. They do more to his stagger bar than normal hits. Go behind him and force him to flop on his back, hit the ice spikes. Break the spikes, boss falls like a rock.
