Droprate Chaos Fragment?
I thought Chaos Fragment would be a boss drop from Maluca, really want to get that Chaos-Ridden armour set. But after 7 fights there still hasn't dropped a single one.

Am I fighting the wrong boss or am I missing something else? I know down the line you can buy some from Danjin. But I wanted to farm the boss for mats...

I farmed the armor set two days ago, prior to the nerf patch. He dropped Chaos Fragment almost every time. After the nerf patch, I have fought him like 5 times and haven't got single Chaos Fragment drop.

Pre patch I fought him like 7 times to get the drops

Maybe I got lucky, maybe it was different before the patch.

I have the same issue. Apart from the very first fight, the boss has not dropped a single chaos fragment for me in like 5 or 6 fights. Starting to think it's bugged honestly...

It does drop there and it works, but the droprate seems (imo) rather low. I can fight the guy for a guaranteed win every fight and it took me 1-2h to get like 4 Chaos Fragments.

I got one each time i fought him until i needed one more to make the set and it hasnt dropped since. Ive just finished attempt 13

Edit: dropped on 14th

I have no idea where people are getting the "nerfed" from, there was nothing in patchnotes regarding boss drops or item drops in general.

That aside, you just need to kill Maluca until it drops. But it definitely won't be guaranteed to drop every fight. Otherwise you need to collect 27 Jarlings for Danjin and then you can buy some Chaos Fragments in his Shop.

Nothing in the patchnotes, but something definitely changed. Before the last patch i got 5 drops out of 6 runs, now i've done 7 runs and not a single drop.
Drop rate might change based on story progression, maybe? I've farmed him at first right after i've beaten him for the first time, and now i'm in the middle of the third stone.

My high grade item drop rate is at 20% , I just farmed him for about 1 hour (3 min per run) and got ZERO chaos fragments...
Can anyone confirm that you can still drop them from killing Maluca after patch
Edit: ok I think I found the reason I wasn't getting any, farmed yesterday for 2 hours straight...nothing, I farmed today for about an hour still nothing, then I tried switch my armor(I was wearing Bard's set for increase drop rate, but as soon as I switched to another set of armor I literally got a fragment on the first try, it could be a coincidence right? I don't think so , every single run that I did after that I got a chaos fragment . EVERY SINGLE RUN. So I'm 99% sure that either Bard's armor set is broken or that if you increase your "high-grade item drop rate" stat it actually decrease it somehow.

yes, but the thing is, the drop rate seem much higher when you DON'T HAVE ANY FRAGMENT in your pocket. I must go to the blacksmith, craft a set piece then come back for a rematch, repeat about 5 or 6 times to get 5 fragments.

He does still drop them. I have gotten like 3-4 of them. Then i was lucky to get a purple sword and Greves. But i killed him like 10 times.

This is weird, he definitely drops them no problem. Even if the droprate isn't high, I definitely get at least 2-4 out of 10 fights I'd say. So you've got some crazy bad luck if that's the case.

his set is good because of the skill you get by wearing the entire set and adding an extra charge level to potent blows.

i stacked both dmg and dmg multplier too but have no damn clue what damage multiplier does. i just took it because i assumed it would increase the attack power of things like charge attacks.

I've used Chaos-Ridden ever since I could farm the materials. But I have also crafted Crimson Fiend, for the few bossfights where brinkguarding is (almost) impossible or no good because of status ailments or the type of attacks the boss does.
