Question about difficulty.

So I have never played any souls game, this is my first. I really like it tbh. I completed the demo on easy and on normal. The phantom blade boss took me 4-5 tries on easy I think and on normal it took me close to 2-2½ hours or so. I found him quite difficult on normal and I had to switch to spear, eventhough I was doin DW mostly and kinda liked it, just couldn't get him down, always failed at 10-20%. I assume he is considered an easy boss, so how much more difficult does it get? Should I just stick with easy? He felt a little too easy on easy.

I haven't bought the game yet, but I defiently will soonish.

Take Blade Phantom, multiply by 50 and you might get close to how difficult it gets.

Phantom Blade is a fairly easy boss, so if it took you 2-2.5 hours on normal, you can expect many of them to take 3-5 hours. The very next boss, Viper, is a substantial difficulty jump for some people. If you're relying mostly on dodging, he'll be especially tough compared to a more brink guard/blocking focused playstyle. Viper's the first wall for most people, but there are a few bosses later that make him look like a joke.

Just play on normal until you hit a wall. Then just switch difficulty. You can switch difficulty anytime.

yea but if you wanna switch back up you cant ! I hope the devs change this so we can lower and raise difficulty at any time.

Hmm. I read somewhere you could. Maybe Im wrong. Or maybe it was a demo thing. I guess play on easy then, nothing wrong with that.

The Phantom Blade is pretty easy and every next bosses are always much harder. They're doable but they're kinda like "oh ♥♥♥♥ theres no way I can beat that" and then you keep at it and eventually beat them anyway.

Id say everyone struggles on every bosses when doing first attempts. Keep at it and learn the attack patterns. At some point you'll get it and win.

Oh I did on my first playthrough of the demo too :p Died like 30 times maybe more.

You can switch to easy mode any time in the settings. But you cannot switch back to normal

Ok! Thanks for clarifying that guys, I wasn't aware, then I could atleast go normal until I just can't anymore :D
