Neglected Greatsword...?
I found a level 12 Neglected Greatsword during the mission in the snowy mountains and it deals way more damage than the Lv30 greatswords I'm finding. Something just sort of feels... Wrong about that. Is this some weird glitch or is the Neglected Greatsword just rediculous?

b+ scaling.

demo weapons have higher scaling, so much so that they outdamage everything even as high as lv.60. unless the weapon isn't from the demo, in which case it could be the random attribute or an actual bug lol

Did u use ur safefile from the demo?`If yes the demo weapons had way better scaling B+/B while the stuff u find in the release version tend to have only B/C scaling so ur weapon will always be stronger than almost everything u will find. Dunno if thats intended or a oversight .

i'm lvl 120 and i'm still using it. it's like using a high raw damage weapon w/out all the utility. later you'll get options that have some pretty incredible modifiers which in many cases can outperform the neglected gs, however i've designed my build around big charged single hit damage and for that the neglected greatsword is king

That's kinda silly. Makes the rest of the weapons you get kind of pointless, at least for a while maybe.

Same. I'm aiming for big single hit attacks. Unless a weapon set is giving like +15 strength or something then changing weapons is pointless.

set bonuses end up being pretty insane. you can design an entire builds around some of them. but they're mostly aimed at different spirit skills. however on average your neglected will do about 60% more raw damage than any other weapon of the same level. i just haven't found anything that can make up for that difference.

neglected GS at lvl 120: 992
generic GS lvl 118: 625
992-625=371
371/625(100)=59.4%

oops doing math in head was a mistake

367/625 (100) = 58.7%
