Edit: I stayed on DX11 and enabled frame gen, as an aside. Also turned up the antialiasing since it looked godawful with the setting he suggested.
DX12 has to load specific assets a first time for some reason, DX11 doesn't. You aren't geting stutter because your assets are already loaded.
No the stuttering doesn't just magically go away by using DX11. It can actually make performance worse like it did for me, this problem for alot of people is related to the newest Nvidia drivers and the fact that this game isn't optimized well for them.
Funny, my friend is using the same driver as me and I have stutter (DX12) he doesn't (DX11) if you swap between them and redo shaders, you have stutter, if you choose one and then do shaders, no stutter.
So don't know what to tell ya. DX12 has been universally stuttery for UE5 games since UE5 was brought into the picture. DX11 on the other hand, not so much.
You do know know this isn't even UE5 right? It's UE4. Also how do you do choose DX11 and then do shaders? It doesn't compile shaders, I've launched the game with DX11 and performance just tanks from the seconds I load into the game. DX11 just doesn't work on newer hardware.
im on a laptop with a 4080 (which is equal to a 4070 gpu on a desktop) on a 1600p 16:10 resolution
