Great example of why I don't play Souls-likes anymore
Typical cheap artificial difficulty where everything is stacked against the player in unfair ways.

-Cheap difficulty (delayed attacks, instant grab attacks, bait attacks)
-Simon says gameplay (press primary defense button when I tell you or you die)
-HP sponge bosses
-Your Stats do nothing, you will receive tons of damage anyway
-Unfair bosses with a second phase

Souls-likes were ruined by this masochist that focus on difficulty over fun because they likely have nothing going on with their lives and need something to brag about.

The last game that did this right was Sekiro, and even that game had a few cheap moments (very few) but everything after that over relies on cheap artificicial difficulty.

Another good game is Stranger of Paradise with a bit of cheap too granted but it's another game that at least wasn't just full cheap difficulty where your stats don't even matter.

I have seen in streams how you do a charged attack and you do like 10% of a normal enemy HP, it's pathetic, this games are just made to demoralize the player, it's absurd, this needs to stop or the genre will be irreparably damaged.

Stats don't matter, gear doesn't matter, weapon scaling is completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥, but no one will point this out until months down the line when the honey moon phase is truly over just like how it took months for people to start calling out Elden Ring's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because the average souls fan is, as I said, a completely battered housewife who just makes excuses.

yeah this game's balancing seems pretty bad so far to me

the hp bloat especially feels really tedious and this game would've been way better without stamina

I'm still having fun tho but it's pretty mediocre not really on Nioh 2 or Wo Long's level.

As far as soulslikes go overall, It depends on how they are designed. Some people are really trying to push it too far but there are other games like Lords of the Fallen which are still pretty chill.

If you go to reddit there is people already agreeing that delayed attacks are bad, people are waking up and they are tired of this artificial difficulty BS.

explain to me how a video game, an artificial construct, can NOT have "artificial" difficulty. by its definition every component of the game is artificial and therefore any difficulty, regardless of how its implemented, is artificial. it's the brainchild of the developer. the only difference between the artificial difficulty in souls-like and the artificial difficulty in barbie's dreamland is that one you're able to overcome and the other you're not. stop trying to justify your incompetence and just accept your limitations.

Housewives can play games too, you know, and maybe better than you ;).

This is my first soul-like, I play on easy mode, it's hard but manageable and combat system is really fun. Be patient, learn the patterns, then kick the ass of the Boss. I don't think the game is unfair, it's kinda the opposite. You have all the tools to win.

It's not cheap nor is it really that difficult. You guys just love to scream unfair rather than improve. Sadly it's not tied to just games, either.

You could just hold block, nothing is stopping you from doing so, or dodging, that works too. There is perfect blocks, dodges, reflections and counter attacks. Play your way. Even Link had to block in Zelda.

Bosses are definitely not HP sponges. Most DKS3 bosses had more HP, but bleed was OP and people utilized it.

Stats give stamina regen, stamina, damage, health, so not entirely sure how they do nothing?

Oh please, Viper is NOT THAT BAD. The 2nd phase is so damn slow and easier to read than the first phase, that all you need to do is get better at one phase and the next flows nicely. Also, break the head, bam, problem solved for damage numbers (You HAVE to do this in a side mission, otherwise, no damage at all.)

This is one of the hardest souls like games out there "Initially." but it doesn't punish you, it infact rewards you for trying (Lacrima on death.) to persuade you to keep trying, as you level up against an enemy you likely are having a hard time toppling.

Also, it has an easy mode and summons to help you +you can buff the summons and even further buff them by 50% damage increase with a set bonus. Not entirely sure much more can make the game easier for you.

Charged attacks do way more than 10% of the enemy HP, Standard potent blows? Sure, Spirit charge attacks? You're talking 16-25% depending on the move. Giant hunt to a weak spot hits for an easy 16-20k damage, it's kind of nutty.

Delayed attacks are garbage, lack of stamina is garbage (whole system is stupid souls like idiocy), stats do NOTHING, time stamina regen on new character and then time it on fully build. Im lvl 80 right now and my stamina regen while much higer changes nothing, regen is as slow as at lvl 1 (tho Stamina pull is larger and only with full mythir stamina gear it feels playable). HP means nothing because everything hits for more, so yeah HP bar grows but we can only survive same amount hits like we could at the start of game in typical souls fashion.

Same with dmg, i use spear and so what if my spear now hits for X more if bosses have X more HP anyway. Unless hitting weak spots its chip dmg anyway. Upgrading brutal attacks made them do 3,6k instead of 3,2k wooooh such difference.

What did you think was gonna happen? Delayed attacks are not artificial difficulty anymore than fast ones, and stamina management is a staple of the soulslike genre.

Why did you played soulslike for start if you don't like .. most of us changed entire vision on gaming ,, after first soulslike alot of games ,, are bad ,, before soulslike you never realise ,, how many bad games exist

Some of what you're criticizing is inaccurate, too.
Sekiro was a perfect example of challenging yet fair gameplay, it's not a solution, it's a whole cheat-sheet.
Um... The souls-like genre is literally built on difficulty... lmao.
Elden Ring was 100% fine until the few last bosses, because on one hand, bosses like Maliketh just spazz out all over the arena, or spam arena wide BS that you need to dodge every 2 seconds like Hoarah Loux's first phase, or just flat out ♥♥♥♥ block an entire play style, aka as if you have a Paladin, get ready to use fire instead of holy cause all the last bosses are basically immune.
The DLC was just... a massive mess. And that comes from a guy with something like 900 hours into ER.

On topic of Khazan, the game has the roots for a REALLY amazing game. It just has a huge emphasis on stamina, while stamina always feels massively limited so that just breeds a boring loop of waiting to perfect block to rince and repeat.

Buddy, Dark Souls 1,2 and 3 were never 'CHEAP'. Well.. except maybe Bed of Chaos, but even the devs admit this one was trash so.. There's that.
I am not saying Khazan is cheap, because I do not feel it is. It's just a matter of rebalancing the whole Stamina ressource because it always feels insanely limited.
That is my biggest issue.
