it seems ridiculous at first but once u learn all his attack patterns, brink block/dodge timings, counter etc. it becomes really fun trust this fight is all about patience and concentration testing the player if he got a good grasp of the combat system by now and using it well.

Phase 1 is easy. It's just phase 2 with the super long attack strings that do damage through your guards btw because chaos damage.

Learn his first phase pattern and be aggressive, for second phase hit the first dodge, keep guarding until he puts away his katana's and go back to being aggressive. Have fun!

for this boss i used the spear with the overheat? talent that parries all 9 of his attacks in 2nd phase while also damaging him wasnt to bad,to help a little more he will always go into the 9 attack combo after jumping back and doing the ground slice so save all your spirits and when he comes with that first attack hit the overheat(spinning spear move) that will parry all the attacks while doing decent damage to him then go on defense building spirit for the next 9 hit combo

I'm really getting bored with these bosses. Huge health bars and ridiculous moves. That's not to say the bosses aren't well done it's just, pick one. And this boss is just annoying.

Yeah I think im done until its nerfed or maybe a guide cause im just not interested. Shame to cause this was a good game plagued by the same thing with elden ring dlc bosses.
