Its like a Dark Souls shield parry, is the besy way to explain it. So you have ti time it really well and if you miss you will be punished. Its best used when an enemy does a slow wind up attack from my experience.
In the General skill tree you can also enhance it to come out faster, probably making it more usable.
Yeah its definitely not the type of skill you will be landing a lot early on but once you get the sweet spot down, you can reflect many boss attacks with with ease.
So far for each boss there is at least 1 or 2 slow/delayed swings in the combos, and I usually block/perfect block the first few and then time my reflect to steal my turn back.
Yeah its very powerful if you can get the timing down but if you miss you will eat damage. Don't forget you can practice it in the training room and there is a skill that makes the player take less damage if they miss it.
Yeah its a guaranteed stun and like I said if you follow it up some a combo you can get some decent damage in.
If you want to use Reflection, you should absolutely take those points that reduce damage you take when using the move and the point that makes it go off faster. It is actually a massive damage reduction that makes it a lot less punishing when you miss it--and you will miss it a lot.
