As someone that got TFD's UI burned in my previous OLED display, I can totally understand the version thing complain.
You know what's not a hard concept too? Having a pause option in a single player game.
The version number is what actually bothers me more. It is not really the fact it is there, rather, what bothers me that is is somewhat out of bounds for my screen as it is slightly cut off at the bottom. It is not really a setup issues as you can not calibrate monitor visible section in this game, just that the version numbers seems to be cut off at the bottom.
However:
No pause is a silly thing to take serious issue with when campfires effectively pause the game, saves exists, and exiting to the main menu exists. Very easy to work around and deal with, minimal effort required. Also, this is not a new practice in the Souls-like genre, and you'll find many people are not only used to it, but fine with it. If that's a deal breaker for a handful of people, I'm gonna just have to say "oh well" to that one.
There really isn't any legitimate argument against having the pause functionality in the game, since this game doesn't have an online component similar to Dark Souls games. Soulslike players being used to not having pause doesn't make it some great feature.
Sure, some could argue that being able to browse inventory during fights and such might make the game easier, but Nioh solved this years ago with the pause button in the menu.
Yea call up your OLED monitor maker and ask for tech to be added so burn in will not occur, its not the game devs problem or fault. Many screens I know of have a system in place to refresh pixels after X time to avoid any issues already
There's no way you actually believe that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
I understand, but it makes sense when using the in game menu. A pause with a black screen doesn't affect the gameplay or difficulty at all.
Also, console players can pause by going to their console menu.
Sure, a sane person will rather lose than, I don't know, let his kid chock to death or set the house on fire, let intruders get into the house and lots of crazy possibilities but some people clearly are not there and it could turn into accidents.
Also, it's quite annoying to lose your perfect run at a boss because the Amazon delivery guy rings at the door!
then why do you need a pause button ? there are no invaders on no roaming mobs ?
I played Nioh 1 and 2, there is no pause button either in fights, tf are you talkng about.
I don't get the demand like it's a must.
