Timing on burst counter?

Just got to this tutorial, beat the mob but i've burst countered him.. never. I don't get the timing? When are you supposed to hit them?

Its like a parry, or brink guard, press SHIFT the whole time and right before u take dmg or get hit press F.

So right before u get hit.

that moment where that cloud like light appears on your weapon is when you want your opponent's burst attack to hit it, if he hits u before or after that light appears its too early and too late

Counter attack time is the same time as a brink guard (Perfect guard.)

Reflection parry is a different story, your weapon has to connect with theirs, be it weapon or claws.

generally its a delayed timing. might need to fail it a few times for each encounter until you learn it.
