They aren't broken.. they are working as intended. They arent meant to solo the boss for you, gosh.
Also you dont need them, if you put in minimum effort.
Brother if you need that much of a crutch, it's 10000% on your own skill. Even if the Phantoms somehow don't do enough for you, you can beat everything just fine without.
Otherwise instead of whining like this, come back later after there have been updates. The game isn't officially even out, only Early Access for Deluxe Editions...
Hey, fair enough. If you ever encounter things that seem too soggy to kill, you can always get better weapons, if you craft them they match your level.
He means specifically for Viper. It just walks into the tornado and dies. Seems like a bug.
pretty much any sort of Phantom be it Elden ring, Lies of P or Code vein have A.I that do similar. They do something you don't do though, the bare minimum.
I asked if you beat Viper did you?
Do you mean the Tornado that sucks you in? Even if it does do that, and dies, that still doesn't make the Phantoms broken. That "could" mean 'on that part' it doesnt work well. I just loaded the game up, and used a phantom on a fight that i havent beat yet, because i have other things to do, just to see what it does. it took off about 60% if not more of the bosses HP with me barely doing anything, and it dodged, and absorbed damage well.
And ive upgraded them. lol
NO EXCUSES.
Okay, so you beat it on easy. Why not continue on easy if it makes it better for you.
What weapon are you using?
For Viper, I changed from Greatsword to Spear. I also changed my equipment so i had more stamina regen, and less weight to be able to dodge better.
I also went fully into swift attack for moon stance to get phantom attacks or damage or whatever its called. And i got.. .. i dont remember, you spin the spear in front of you and it does bring guards for you, to counter him when he leaps from the shadow tornado at you, as i couldnt dodge it well enough.
I changed how i played, after learning the fight, to better counter what he did. And i beat him.
It took me 40 minutes of getting beat up trying various things but most of all, learning what he does.
Then it took about 5-10 mins of applying what i learned to find a good pace, then i beat him. and it was extremely once sided when i did.
So instead of being, wrong, saying the bosses are overtuned.
Change your self and the way you play and learn how the boss works. The only real obstacle is you. not the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ phantom, that works the way it does, because its not an "I win button" for you to not do anything in the game, okay?
Fair enough, that sucks. But again, the phantoms are there to assist you, not beat the boss, most likely the phantom will die in phase two, to the Dark Tornado Jumpy attacks that it does.
Also, the phantoms do work as intended, EVEN IF, that ONE TORNADO makes it not work that well.
But as i said, fair enough. okay.
