Game is awesome
I am having a blast with the game, so far, in 11+ hours, I haven't had a single issue, it's locked at 120 the entire time, it never drops a frame.

The game is extremely responsive and the combat is immensely satisfying. But i hear people cry about the following

- Too hard
- Too forgiving.

It's not too hard. And its also not too forgiving.

It rewards you with small trinkets of EXP when you fight and die to a boss, this helps you out so that you don't have to grind the entire level again in order to get Exp to level up your base stats and can instead focus on, and i hate to say but i love it really, getting good. This is a net positive.

When people say it's too hard.

I used the greatsword for the majority of my gameplay so far. I ran into a tiny wall with the viper, i changed to spear, and then i beat it Personal struggle is the Triangle (Or Y) Counter Attack, i haven no idea how to time it, so ive just ignored it and i went for dodges instead.

Sometimes, a change in your approach goes a long way, but if you refuse to "trying to get better" then it is what it is, the game isn't for you. There is even a difficulty setting to make it easier, if you feel like the game is unjustly difficult (Ill die on this hill, it isn't. it is more than likely a you problem, and i will excuse people who have genuine handicaps, like disabilities etc, for you, the game might actually be too difficult and i hold nothing against you, but perfectly able bodied, lazy gamers who want to sleep through the game? get good)

Yeah sometimes, the issue is that you're just not good enough and you have to learn the encounter and get good.

I want them to make a second one, I'd love to be able to make my own character. I'd love to be able to play coop. I'd love to have Co Op boss Rushes or jut Boss Rush in general.

The game IS good. The game runs well.

As for me;
- no issues
- Difficulty is fine
- Gear looks amazing
- never crashed.
- performance top notch the entire way through.

How grindy is the game? I absolutely hate the idea of crafting gear in a soulslike.

Combat is fun. Not really a fan of the level design so far.

its Block + Y (On Xbox) or Triangle (Playstation)

i suck at this. So i don't do it. I do the Brink Guard or Bring Dodge instead, it helps me. I am trying to learn the timing of the counter attack properly now that i found an enemy that is relatively slow that i can practice on thats near a respawn point, i suggest you do the same.

I encourage you, to keep trying. Even if you fail, keep throwing it out there because if you NEVER do it, you will NEVER learn it. keep trying.

I havent had to Grind anything, I get a lot of gear drops constantly from chests, enemies, "nioh 2" style Revenants, Elites, and so on. You can dismantle parts you dont need and craft the items you want instead. its how ive been upgrading my gear.

So, not at all, really. I havent had to grind for anything.

PS: i wouldnt call this a soulslike.

its more like Nioh1/2/WoLong. Stats On gear + Stat bonuses + Rolls.

But it doesnt matter that much, for your first way through, but i guess there will be a NG+

it's just Nioh levels. I prefer this over giant open worlds, this is entirely subjective and I'm not saying you're wrong, but i prefer this over something like Elden Ring.

I'm thoroughly enjoying it too. I do find it to be difficult, but I like the sense of accomplishment I feel when I overcome a tough encounter. I hope the developers get another title to work with, this is shaping to be my game of the year for 2025.
