Is this game actually good
Is this game actually good or is it weaboo bait? Does it compare fairly to a souls game in terms of depth of gameplay?

"Weeaboo bait?" wha? Because it has anime graphical design? There isn't a thing weeaboo about Khazan. Yes, it's good.

There is a demo available, try it and see for yourself.

My early impressions, recently defeated Viper boss, are positive. The game runs very well, usually capped at 120FPS at max settings, DLSS at quality and 1440p but it crashes to desktop from time to time without any error given.
Gameplay-wise the game has somewhat steep learning curve where Viper boss will be a solid roadblock for a lot of players, everything before him is fairly reasonable but he represents massive difficulty spike.
The game has enough depth in combat even if the gear and build options seems to be more limited. The game clearly put more focus on the combat itself and how you decide to use tools given to you. The combat is responsive, controls are snappy. Block/brink block timing is fine but parry and counter timing is tight.
If I have to make a comparison to recent souls-likes, the game feels closer to Lies of P than to Elden Ring.

Try the demo and see for yourself. I think its amazing esprcially the combat system has alot of depth to it kind of a mixture between classic souls like+ sekiro and hack and slash etc.

Runs really well, looks really well, coloring/UI design is simplistic but in the best way possible, color contrast is amazing, sound design is amazing, combat genuinely feels good and responsive, parrying feels and sound fantastic (almost on par with Lies of P parrying for me)

I was actually blown away compared to what I was expecting. I'm not the most difficult gamer out there but this actually surprised me with how well it ran/looks/feels.
No idea bcs over 200 attempts so far at the troll in demo :steamhappy: still haven't beaten it, might be doing myself a favor and not buying it after all if I'm that terrible lel though I wish I actually could play it bcs the visuals are good and combat is fluid, sound design is great. Wonky hitboxes are a plague but I guess it's the way devs do the "hard" or "soulslike" games these days.

The troll is incredibly easy for these types of games standards. Yeah it might not be your type of game then haha.

Which is sad because I had no issues with ER, Sekiro or DS, LoP was a bit of a slog but I managed. So not exactly "type of game" I'd say. Maybe it needs to "click".

I'm super confused then. You are talking about the troll in the snow level that you encounter a few times right? Or I haven't encountered the troll yet that you're referring to.

Maybe i've mistaken it, I haven't beaten the entire tutorial/snow level yet, but maybe I assumed the wrong enemy. I'll come back when i've beaten the entire level.

I mean Yetuga dude yeah, yeti or whatever he is, I just call him troll, pardon moi. I get confused by his wonky hitboxes and silly delays. Also, since some people suggested, I took controller, despite being solely kb+m player in every souslike including eternal pain in DS2 :steamhappy: I use controller yeah, for side-scrollers and stuff, like Blasphemous or whatever but third person games are weird to me on controller. Annnnd so... going back to kb+m XD even tho they won't let rebind some of important keys which is retarded (same with Black Myth Wukong but I have a blast playing it with default scheme, good job devs). As of writing it, I managed to get the yeti/troll whatever he is to second phase lel got so excited I died immediately :steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy:
As I say, a bit of whining, crybaby behavior, then getting my sh** together and stuff clicks. Mostly :D
Edit to add: if I manage to beat Yetuga today, I'm buying the game XD

Im eight hours in and the Troll and Viper bosses are hardest ive come across so far. I had to farm the area around the troll boss and get way over leveled before i could beat him though.
