My early impressions, recently defeated Viper boss, are positive. The game runs very well, usually capped at 120FPS at max settings, DLSS at quality and 1440p but it crashes to desktop from time to time without any error given.
Gameplay-wise the game has somewhat steep learning curve where Viper boss will be a solid roadblock for a lot of players, everything before him is fairly reasonable but he represents massive difficulty spike.
The game has enough depth in combat even if the gear and build options seems to be more limited. The game clearly put more focus on the combat itself and how you decide to use tools given to you. The combat is responsive, controls are snappy. Block/brink block timing is fine but parry and counter timing is tight.
If I have to make a comparison to recent souls-likes, the game feels closer to Lies of P than to Elden Ring.

I was actually blown away compared to what I was expecting. I'm not the most difficult gamer out there but this actually surprised me with how well it ran/looks/feels.
Viper boss? Is that after big troll that smashed me already so many times and is still alive? You good sir probably saved this old lady a bunch of $$$
The troll is incredibly easy for these types of games standards. Yeah it might not be your type of game then haha.
Which is sad because I had no issues with ER, Sekiro or DS, LoP was a bit of a slog but I managed. So not exactly "type of game" I'd say. Maybe it needs to "click".
I'm super confused then. You are talking about the troll in the snow level that you encounter a few times right? Or I haven't encountered the troll yet that you're referring to.
Maybe i've mistaken it, I haven't beaten the entire tutorial/snow level yet, but maybe I assumed the wrong enemy. I'll come back when i've beaten the entire level.
I mean Yetuga dude yeah, yeti or whatever he is, I just call him troll, pardon moi. I get confused by his wonky hitboxes and silly delays. Also, since some people suggested, I took controller, despite being solely kb+m player in every souslike including eternal pain in DS2
As I say, a bit of whining, crybaby behavior, then getting my sh** together and stuff clicks. Mostly :D
Edit to add: if I manage to beat Yetuga today, I'm buying the game XD
