Be aggressive. Windows of opportunity from passive play are small, and if all you do is wait until a boss is done its combo before you try a few basic attack strings you'll feel like everything is too tanky. There is a back and forth to it, but you won't be given your turn, you have to take it from them. Break their flow, then break them.
The demo was really fun, how's the level design at the stage your're at?
Is it more Lies of P or on a bigger scale similar to DS3 with open ended corridors leading to shortcuts and secrets items etc.
There is a good bit of challenge though which is nice to see.
It's not like that which is great. Im just 2 hours in so I basically beat the first real boss and then I killed him again in the optional side quest.
Game is actually very fun cuz the mechanics allow for offensive play and reward you for it. The better you play the better the reward. I love games with indepth combat with a high skill ceiling.
I'm sure you will be able to find cool fight videos in yt in a few days, if you arent sure I would recommend checking that out.
Not quite the next Nioh but it scratches that itch with some cool changes. I liked the demo.
