It’s like having a nosy security guard constantly checking your game while you’re trying to play. It keeps running in the background, doing these little “are you legit?” checks over and over—sometimes every few minutes.

This constant checking eats up your CPU’s power, kinda like how too many apps running on your phone slow it down. For a game, that means stuff like longer load times (ugh, waiting forever to jump in), choppy frame rates (those annoying stutters when things should be smooth), and sometimes even bigger lag spikes that make it feel like the game’s drunk. If your PC isn’t some beastly high-end rig, you’ll notice it more—low-end setups get hit harder. It’s not always a total disaster, but it’s enough to make your experience less fun, especially if the devs didn’t set it up super carefully. So yeah, Denuvo’s there to protect the game, but it can end up harshing your vibe instead.

There isn't a single, SINGLE, game that has been released that hasn't been pirated. Denovo or not. It doesn't stop pirating. It just delays it s bit. I'm not including MMORPGS or any game that has to be online to play as that's a different story. Even Monster Hunter world/rise can be pirated. I'm sure Wilds will be eventually. Again, as long as it literally doesn't HAVE to be online for content, it can and will be pirated

I was honestly almost not gonna buy it until my friend said it didnt hurt performance at all. It doesn't for me. I agree its stupid BS but for me at least. it isn't causing any issues. But they really should just remove it. It's just punishing paying customers for no reason. People weren't going to buy the game in the first place if they pirate it.

Empress was the only one who can crack Denuvo games and the pirates didn't give a crap about donations to keep her in business, so she quit. Not even the software crackers want anything to do with these kids anymore.

Adding to the voices here. Was going to buy it at full price until I saw Denuvo, now I won't be buying at all. Also had passing interest in that other PC game these devs were making but now I'll be ignoring that too.

Granblue Relink sold gangbusters without denuvo, DNF is popular enough to sell spinoff media well without it too.

Not everyone has performance issues, I for one have not, game runs buttery smooth. Just adding my three cents to counter "omgdenuvoevilbaddontbuygameomg" hysteria. You can't seriously say something is bad only because it is bad for some, nor the other way round of course. Some people have issues, some people don't. Is it Denuvo or their rigs, who knows.

thats dumb explaination, Some games can cracked even is placed on Denuvo, Assassin creed valhalla was cracked, Hogward Legacy and other are cracked.
