For other people who are not familiar with many other games of similar kind: if you stop at the middle of a level with some enemies killed, items gained, currency acquired etc. and decide to exit to main menu, you will be able to continue from that state of the game where you left, but not in this one, which is a bit irritating. No visible reason for that tbh, so hope developers will add this kind of "autosave".
As we can know from demo, the main reason of no auto saving is that the "Boss drops" are also designed to be totally random in this game.
