What's reflection timing window??
i tried reflecting on basic enemies over and over again. just before getting hit, just when they started attack animation, just when thier sword started comming to me. Anyone knows when should use reflection?

Reflection, you mean block+additional button? So you have to hold block, THEN if an attack is coming in you have to press the additional button.

You have to visually adjust it to the animation phase of your currently used weapon AND the animation of the opponent. So you SEE it.

But to be honest, try that first on these yetis to get a feeling for that.

yeah i meant that. i tried holding guard and then pressing additional button. i tried testing it on basic soldiers. thanks for tip. btw when you say "animation phase of your currently used weapon" do you mean that timing is different for different weapons?
Yes, the Spear and the Longsword have different animations and timings for reflection. Block and parry will be the same.

I recommend trying to practice reflection on a yeti. They are the easiest to pull it of because they have a lot of good telegraphed attacks with small delays. You need to time it such that your weapon would meet the strike. Usually you would execute it right before the strike is coming down. For the soldiers with swords the timing is about when they are raising the sword - right after they started and before they finished. It's quite hard to do. Sometimes I get every time and sometimes it take several tries. I would say that it about 1 second delay between the button press and the actual reflection success, if you make it.
And I have practiced reflection with all weapons and I am not sure if the animation time is different. From my experience it's about the same and you also get a skill later that reduces execution time.

Thank you both guys. ill try practicing it. hope you will have no problems with this too because when im looking at all of those doges, grards and reflection then reflection looks the most meta to me. its most rewarding at least but hardest to perform ofc

Reflection is definitely the most rewarding overall, but it's a skill that requires the most time to master and the most risk. The most OP skill per risk-reward is actually a brink guard after you learn the skill "damage dealt upon brink guard".

ohh thanks a lot. ill consider mastering guard better. btw, do you know if its possible to reflect phantoms blade unarmed attacks? fists and leggs

I don't find that the case for reflection timing.
Reflection timing feels the same to me with any of the weapons or bare handed.

Yes, I have done it many times. I have succeeded in using reflection for the first and second fist strikes and against one of the kicks. As long as you do it right, it's possible. I would say his second fist strike is the easiest, so brink guard first and then reflect the second.
I also love using reflection on his hammer smash. It's actually easy to time and the damage is massive.

Yea, it feels the same to me. The animation is different, but the timing feels the same.

Making reflection more intuitive or giving it a better explanation in the skill list would be a good Idea.
