Khazan is going its own way, for better or worse. I liked the demo so I'm looking forward to it. It is definitely a fresh air in a genre that is full of stale clones.
Personally I don't think you are supposed to dodge anyway. There are very few things Khazan can't block which further breaks enemy poise which leads to brutal attacks (or w/e the criticals are called).
If anything i found it a bit too easy, only having to learn the last boss of the demo.
block is not very responsive, overall seems to be designed by a team that doesn't understand what is more important than graphics, they focused on graphics and it shows in the gameplay/controls department
Regardless of how many times you have completed the demo, if all you do is run away from the bosses when they attack, then you have much room for improvement in your gameplay.
