Finally, a souls-like that isn't actually a counter simulator
Honestly, of all the recent souls-likes I've tried, this is the first one to actually not secretly be a counter simulator under the covers parading as a souls-like. Sure, this game has a counter, but it's not broken like in other games where basic attacks do nothing and perfect countering shaves off chunks. That said, while I like most of this game I do have 3 things I didn't like:
1) The game doesn't autosave if you close before resting, so if you kill an elite, but don't have time to go find the next rest point and exit the game, you just lost your progress by closing (yes, using the game's close, not forcing the game to close).
2) Finding a new rest point forces you to rest.
3) Customizing controls won't let you do new key combos. So you can't change counter to alt + q. You can only change to existing key combos or single button presses.

That said, I'll probably still be buying this cause it's a solid souls-like that brings its own new ideas to the genre.

I dont know if we talk about the same game, I basically gave up on last boss and game wont allow player to just ''block spam''. it will have to be a good block parry.

Its like Sekiro without Stamina. Do three ''non parry / lazy'' blocks and character bends the knee, takes damage.

Unless they changed something.

And actually I have no idea what you talk about when saying '' souls like''. like what? Isnt souls like just endless dodge/roll and attack? Theres like 2 abilities. Attack, dash, Attack, dash.

Sekiro is a bit something else and this Khazan is based on Sekiro or whatever game came before Sekiro.

(BY BLOCK PARRY I MEAN IT HAS TO BE A WELL TIMED BLOCK. SO PLAYER BLOCKS ON THE MOMENT NPC ATTACKS. This is big part of Khazan IN MY HONEST OPINION)

Khazan is closer to Nioh, your character is a lot more capable than simply attacking and rolling.
Nah, if it was like Nioh2, then your skills would NOT use stamina, and you would actually be regaining stamina while they were in use.

That would actually help the game a lot, if your skills allowed you to regen stamina while they were going, or if they stole stamina on hit.

nioh skills consume stamina though

unless you mean the spirit skills which have their own cost anyway

I obviously mean the Yokai skills.

And the skills in this game also have their own meter, so having them use meter and stamina is overkill. If they only costed their meter (the yellow diamonds about your health bar) and not stamina, then you could use them in the same manner that you use them in Nioh2, and it would let you be more aggressive.

In Nioh2, you can basically attack infinitely if you manage your skills well:

Not all skills consume stamina. Experiment with some other skills and you'll see that you can perform them even on 0 stamina.

The issue is not that you can't use them at 0 Stamina; the issue is that your stamina isn't regening while using them.

I finished on normal, but I didn't record it cause I have nothing I need to prove. I can load up the save and screenshot it if you want?
Just play through it again and record a clip of the first boss fight.
I wish I had the time to play games constantly, but I have a life, so no.

You act like you are really good at the game. You act like the game doesn't require parry spam to progress through it easily, but the very second someone asks you to back up your claim, you act like it would be too time consuming or too difficult to do.

Like for real, if you were half as skilled as you claim, you should be able to blow through the first level in like 10 minutes or less, but now. you are acting like it would take you hours of effort.

It basically discredits your entire argument. So yes, I will sleep quite well, thank you.

It's absolutely a parry spammer. Honestly I like aspects of this game but the controls just aren't there. Main character is way too sluggish and the timings are just...weird? It's not particularly hard exactly, it's just that the way hit detection in the game seems to vary from enemy to enemy, you basically have to spend your time figuring out how soon or late into the actual hit you need to be blocking; combined with a really odd sort of Sekiro stamina system, it quickly starts feeling more like a chore than an actual game which is kind of a shame.

I think honestly that's what hurts this game the most; it's very much trying to play like Sekiro and it just...doesn't do it very well. Honestly, about halfway through the demo all this game made me want to do is re-download Sekiro. I think the world and the story in the game seems cool though; just wish the combat was a bit more polished.
