To be fully truthful, sometimes people do call it spyware, but for a good reason. It sends your information to their web service without your consent. Or rather by buying a game you implicitly consent to send your information to them. It is also not always clear what exactly is shared. So even if it's not *actual* spyware, it does act like one.

Have you actually went and looked or do you just like to argue based on hearsay? Because I actually went and looked and every game with denuvo released in 2024 that I checked is available for download on pirate websites.

Denuvo is usually employed when the publisher has no trust in their game selling on its own merit.

I am not an expert, but there is one thing I can say: with a top-notch 3 years old laptop (i9 11980 hk, rtx3080, 64 Go RAM, 4 To SSD) The First Berserker Khazan is not playable. It is ok for trash mobs and mobs, already borderline with minibosses (freezes, stuttering...), but doesn't work at all with bosses; my laptop doesn't execute inputs like parry or dodge as soon as the boss moves...And the poor thing is that you can't adjust sceen resolution with the demo. My screen is 4K, and the only option I have with the game graphics is 4K. Otherwise, I would have tried 1080p... So Khazan is without me, at least for the moment.
And I keep thinking Denuvo has something to do with that, as I had no issue playing Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring... But I was facing the exact same issue with AI Limit demo!

For some reason impossible to crack games with denuvo are all on torrent web sites right now. You can go and download them... And they all work.

Nobody has been cracking denuvo in like 2 years now. The only time they are available is when it gets removed by the company themselves or they accidentally post an update that has it disabled, or other silly things like the demo .exe not having it enabled and working with full version. You are way behind the times.

It's a service that try's to prevent people who were never going to buy the game in the first place from pirating it at the cost of causing problems for paying customers
