Denuvo is a anti pirat tool. Some trolls still spread that its spyware and cause lag.

I never had any issues. Just ignore them.

It's gonna be pirated even with denuvo. The only thing denuvo does is postpone the time when the game is cracked by a few days.

For some reason impossible to crack games with denuvo are all on torrent web sites right now. You can go and download them... And they all work.

Whatever you say. It's not like you have anything of substance to contribute to the argument except calling people names.

They want to pirate the game, nothing else.

It prolly has no performance impact (you would have to be cpu bottlenecked), any tests people have done in terms of performance were comparing an older version of the game with denuvo vs a newer version of the game without denuvo, ignoring cpu bottlenecks and any optimization differences between game versions. There are no comparisons where they just compare no denuvo vs denuvo with no other changes to the game.

The only game that I would be interested to see with and without denuvo difference would be Dragon's Dogma 2, but only if they manage to do it by not having no other changes to the game, besides the removal of denuvo.

Denuvo has a long standing history. It's meant to be this impossible to hack anti-piracy software. But it's earlier iterations it SEVERELY impacted performance since it constantly checks if you're allowed to play the game, as if you suddenly decided to pirate it after purchasing it. This alone has garnered a huge negative reputation towards Denuvo and it's been since the boogieman of the gaming industry.

Performance has gotten a lot better. But proof of it's impact is STILL there to this day. This is on top of other potential issues, such as games becoming bricked if services isn't maintained. Imagine if Denuvo suddenly closes doors: What happens to all the Denuvo games you own? They become unplayable unless the developers remove it themselves. There are also issues where you can't play some of the games offline even if the games in question doesn't need Internet connectivity, so if you don't play online: go ♥♥♥♥ yourself.

The negative reception to Denuvo is that it's a solution to a problem that was already solved, and said solution overall adds a worse experience which encourages the problem it tried to solve. They never tried to address their negative reputation other than saying performance impact was placebo (it wasn't), and instead of offering insight on how it didn't and shouldn't impact performance, they went with the tried and true "just trust us bro" source. Even if Denuvo now has no issues now, the way they strongarmed their way into the industry has left a bitter aftertaste that anything Denuvo immediately sours expectations, and they have nobody but themselves to blame for that.

People claiming that people are anti-Denuvo because they are upset they can't pirate games are huffing something fierce.

You pay for the game to receive a 3rd party software which you must install on your PC and give it permission to control your PC and monitor your activity.
And all of this to prevent piracy from some other people, who, by unsubstantiated statements, now will purchase game, ofc, not just skip it

Apparently GOG is a pirate store, according to you.
And also Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk have no DRM. I guess all those sales numbers must be fake since CDPR just released the games to be pirated.
