in Sekiro I play as 2B. In Lies of P I play as Sophia... in Khazan, i wouldn't be able to mod the game at all... instead would have to play as fabio because of drm. F that

The fact that people are defending Denuvo is funny to me thanks for the laugh.
personnaly i could care less with denuvo as long my games i play run with no problem. But that make me really angry some will only pirate games. And never buy the game that he/she interested and even more when they clock 60 hours of game. If i was a devs i would get pissed that a game i did put hundred of work that will be insulting

if i find a game that pick my interest i would go look some gameplay, player review and press review to make me a idea if i would buy it or not

Devs don't care, when are people going to get it. Devs are payed by the hour, publishers are the problem. Denuvo is a scam, I've had to rebuy games be cause of starforce, etc. Won't do that again. Denuvo is an excuse to make people rebuy again in the future. Plenty of games have sold with out this crap. These guys use to be a part of Sony and invented SecRom, had to buy games again because of this.

Put it on my wishlist for my Steam Sale wait and see. Noticed Denuvo, and removed it from my wishlist. I'l wait for them to remove it. If I remember it exists by then.

The worst part is Denuvo is fraud, if the creators of the software didn't tell lies to the publisher in an attempt to obtain profit the publishers would look more at sales than sales they never got since they cant see that and if they could it would be such a small minority of people that actually play cracked games and they will only continue so you wont change that. Paying consumers will always buy games because of convenience because guess what cracking is basically a hobby for pirates not something many want todo.

This point is incorrect. If a game only uses Steam as DRM, then there's no need for it to ever revalidate anything, and Steam's Offline Mode lasts indefinitely.

In terms of performance, denuvo has only an impact if your cpu is outdated piece of garbage and is bottlenecking with the game.

Denuvo has a history of problems of games that has implemented or try to implement it. Performance is the most obvious aspect, as games like Tekken actually removed Denuvo from outrage since fighting game DEMANDS constant performance for a fair chance of play.

But there are also other issues. DRM is another big concern. What happens when Denuvo pulls the plug? Games that still "supports" Denuvo becomes unplayable then. This scenario has already happened numerous times when game services suffered outage. At that point, it's no different than always online ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the industry's been trying to push.

Trust me, if the only problem with Denuvo was that it's difficult for pirates to crack, it wouldn't have become the boogieman that it is in the industry. It is simply an overpriced, untrustworthy solution of a problem that's already been solved. Like NFTs.
