Early Critical Feedback
1. The exhaustion mechanic is crazy and necessary when even the light attack uses stamina.

2. Light attack using stamina makes combat less fun, imagine running out of stamina from attacks and then you can't block or dodge. Limits certain game-play styles. I'm a berserker FFS, let me play like one...

3. Losing Lacrima when dying and reviving at a certain save-point similar to souls-like games is way too used. Takes the fun out of the game when it becomes repetitive.

4. Early game is fairly clunky because literally everything uses stamina...

5. I'm a berserker, why can't I jump/climb whenever I want to? You're telling me all that strength and my guy can't jump or climb unless the game says it's OK? Why limit a berserker like that?

6. We need more weapon options.

I may edit this as I continue playing but as a business owner who is also a new dad with not a lot of time for gaming (as much I want to), I look for the bit of fun I can have with my bit of free time. Unfortunately... especially the stamina situation... just takes the fun out of the game and makes it a bit frustrating. I thought I was playing as a berserker, not a tired soldier who's constantly on the defense.

Also, save your opinions, they're likely be ignored or unread.

i guess you just completed mission 1, in this mission Khazan got his tendons cut, exhault and nearly die... so his attacks are limited. In mission 2, you can unlock the skill tree and many upgrades that decrease the stamina used for attack, block, dodge...

but the main point is the brink guard, you won't run out of stamina if you can do brink guard perfectly and there are good upgrades for brink guard too...

They're not gonna add something completely game changing like a jump/climb mechanic into the game a month from release.

They're also not gonna change the stamina system a month from release either...

At least make your criticism constructive.

skill issue
Arc Feb 18 @ 3:48am
The main issue with this game is they advertised it as being a berserker, starring a berserker, when this is based on an existing ip with a berserker which plays 100% the opposite to this guy.
If it weren't for that we wouldn't see nearly as much "QQ using my sword takes stamina I can't stunlock enemies from 100-0 like in Strangers of Paradise the enemies can actually fight back waaaah" topics

"The First Berserker" bro's still learning. Hercules had to go through some ♥♥♥♥ to get over with the reader, you know. :v

My assumption is he'll play more like a berserker at higher levels
But that still doesn't track since the dfo berserkers themselves are all random weaklings at level 1 and they stil instantly play like berserkers
It just makes him come off as inept

I'm guessing the demo is all early level stuff.

From what I gather this game will be gear focused with an extensive skill tree. If you don't start off slow and struggling with resources then advancement won't feel impactful.

Low levels in these types of games are always kind of basic and boring. Since this is a Korean dev, however, I have a lot of faith in the combat.

For me its the opposite.
99% of what Korea makes are completely braindead flashy games where you walk over everything with no effort.
Them and china are style over substance predominantly.
DFO itself is like this; its an MMO where you literally solo > 99% of the games content because its too easy to ever group in.

BDO, Stellar Blade, Blade and Soul, Lost Ark and pretty much every other Korean game I've ever played has had AMAZING combat.

As far as monetizing online games goes I don't trust Korean developers at all. They've ruined tons of fundamentally amazing games by turning them into aggressive and abusive pay to win slot machines. When it comes to gameplay, however, Korea is always the gold standard.

3/4 of those games are **** easy flashy style over substance games. They're also almost all mmorpg's. That you mostly solo. Which just look good.
The only exception is stellar blade where you just parry spam to win.

Alright, I can tell just from this that you're terrible at action games and have absolutely no taste. Consider yourself disregarded, lol.

Blade and Soul is one of the hardest MMORPGs ever made, same as the Korean version of Lost Ark. BDO I didn't really play that much so I can't speak to it's difficulty, but the combat was very well done. Stellar Blade is probably the best technical/mechanical combat of any modern soulslike.

I'd love to hear what games you think have good combat.

"I will just make up negatives about the opposition, that's my argument"
Amazing
Very smart

Lmao at "one of the hardest mmorpgs"
BRB cracking an egg, its one of the hardest eggs ever made, took literally 1 hit

But as an example, I reached second awakening in DFO being repeatedly told "It gets harder later" by a friend, which was end of content at the time.
At no point in DFO did I ever need help or struggle at all, even remotely.
And I was playing an Avenger, a BOTTOM TIER class at the time.

lol, pretty much what I thought. ♥♥♥♥ tier gamer trying to have opinions about action games. Good luck with that. ;)

I still want to hear what you think a good action game is. I know your answer will confirm everything I said about you. Come on kiddo, you may as well go all in with your "I know nothing about games" take.

I never played DFO so no idea if it was easy or not. Heard nothing but good things about the gameplay, though.

Chaos Legion if you want something methodical, DMC 3 and 1 (and just those ones) if you want the stylish concept, Skul: Hero Slayer (I'm DM 9 in it btw, doubt you even know what that means) if you want an example of a good korean action game, Valdis Story if you want a 2D stylish game and don't mind the poor QoL, Raksasi if you want something top down and an example of a good chinese action game.
I could go on but I have to go to work.

Oh, so you're one of those people who's just perpetually stuck in the past and only plays 20 year old games or ♥♥♥♥ indies. Gotcha. You aren't the specific brand of scrub I though you were, but you're still someone whose opinions should be COMPLETELY disregarded. ;)
