Did anyone manage to use the L1+Y Parry?
Later in the demo, when you unlock the skill tree, there is a "Parry" upgrade
I tried using it on wolves time and time again but i could never figure the timing out.

Did anyone managed to use it? what is the timing?

You can hold L1 to block. Then when you hold down L1 you can additional press B to start a lighting fast counter attack. (if you have unlock this ability depend on your weapon)

The Parry upgrade on Y should work the same way

Additional: These parry and counter attack abilitys wont work for ALL attacks.

Possibly Its impossible to parry a wolve

It's impossible to parry wolves with L1+Y???
How was i supposed to know that??? XD

I'd like to test more stuff but the demo cuts off access to the area you played after you finished the demo, so i can't test stuff unless i delete my save i guess T_T

it's hard but you can parry the wolves with L1+y
the window is tight because it does so much stagger.
Why would you try this on a wolf, out of all of the enemies available? Try parrying an enemy with arms.
The wolves are bizarrely pointless in this game too, far too weak.

Because they where easily acccessible at the checkpoint i was.
I finally did it!!!

But oh way you have to activate WAY earlier than i thought to match the attack, it is very tricky, but doable!
It's very tricky indeed. You have to know the attack coming ahead of time and commit. It is possible but I often found it's not worth the risk.

its a perfect timing type of thing i only did it 4 times through out the playthrough so i gave up on it
Could not get it to work so I picked another skill.

I hate that with the alternative control scheme the command is L1 + R2.

The triggers are not great for precise inputs.

You have to input way earlier than the enemys attack in a way that makes the swing of your weapon happen as the enemy attack connects to you.

I know it sounds obvious but its hard to understand what timing you are looking for until you do it for the first time.

used it all the time, specially "last boss" of the demo
What's that for anyway ?

It's called reflection and is much harder to land than a perfect block. It's effectively like the dark souls parry but with a longer start up. Harder to land but when you do land it you're guaranteed to do 50% stun damage to the enemy.
