Buddy are you one of those "weaker players" that you mentioned in your op? Then it's a legit wish. But as it sounds, you don't use or need the easy mode, you just dislike there is that option in the settings. Which is none of your business.
Realize why this thread sounds dumb af?
This is all subjective but the game becomes easier the more you learn all attack patterns of enemies, I think that is what really made it easier for me.
Appreciate you trying out the easy mode, cause I was curious what the differences would be since I went straight to normal and this is my first time playing any "Souls" style game combat. If they made any mechanical adjustments, like bigger windows/higher priority on the block/parry/dodge where it becomes more snappier like other character action games, I would have considered trying easy mode out. If its just numbers adjustments and less aggressive enemy AI, then I'm good with going through with normal difficulty
True though, why games can't have dynamic difficulty. If player sucks, give them more help like dropping difficulty, if player good, crank it up.
Games like Max Payne 20yrs back did it. You keep dying same place, you get more health items , weapons etc.
overleveling your challenge is boring and weak, its the same point as turning on easy mode, yeah there's gonna be casuals that need the easy mode, but quite frankly, they don't need to be playing games like these.
the ops point stands. the game forces you to overlevel your challenge instead of giving the player the tools in order to succeed. without being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ robot.
we are human beings that make mistakes. stop balancing ♥♥♥♥ based on the losers that cheat and farm for 50 hours just so they can play badly and still win.
