anyway, i think the standard for souls-like games is to not be able to pause.
i like pause myself but doesn't look like they gonna add it.
classic souls games are with multiplayer/invasions options.
In online mode it would be cheating to be able to pause.
So yes, Black myth wukong is able to pause because Its a pure Single Player game.
But right, there is no obvious reason why the first berserker does not have a pause function. Its nonsense...
I think it was implemented as a 'souls like game mechanic' without knowing why.

I agree on that, If it has online elements like multiplayer and invasions and such have ask for a pause bottom would be kinda odd. But I guess they have there own in house reasoning.
Wukong is not a souls-like. It is definitely inspired by FromSoft games (and more so Nioh) but is much more a God of War-like ARPG
