I did 80% parry 15% block 5% maybe dodge.
My counter mechanics is
Before first stagger he dont do random stuff, try to lose less health.
Ice shard throw run behind him from left side
Ica ball from ground hard to dodge i usually block, then he follow with a grab i dodge that.
took a few try. I was level 11 when i kill him.
I killed him on the first try, as I had already gotten the parry down by the time I got ti him.
If I was not playing similar games I probably would not have had the muscle memory/reaction to do it. I am in the middle of a Stranger of Paradise Playthrough, making a parry/crit build so I have already have been perfect parrying for 30+ hrs straight before I played this demo lol.
Nioh or SoP will get you ready real fast for the gameplay feel of this game, as it almost feels like a game made by Team ninja, which is why the combat clicked with me so fast.
Easy dodge, at last minute and you get a perfect dodge with super i-frames.
Parry is very forgiving.
I don't know about that. Once we get more agressive bosses/enemies that have harder parry timings I believe dodging would supplement that well. I did a dodge only playthrough and the final boss was much easier dodging then parrying. On my first playthrough I parried everything on my 2nd playthrough I focused on stamina regen and skills that enahnced dodge and the last boss was much easier imo.
