i mean, that's literally what upscaling is: rendering at an internally low resolution and using AI to stitch together the frames into a higher resolution. it's why it induces shimmering and noise with AMD's upscaling, and why DLSS can look extremely muddy and poor in motion at it's worst implementation.

literal facts man, DLSS is faking high resolutions. you aren't playing at native resolutions if you use DLSS, so trying to tell me "oh, you're using 1080p" and then trying to champion DLSS as if it's some high IQ alternativ is the epitome of irony considering you're actually better off playing on a 1080p monitor natively than using any kind of upscaling.
4K using DLSS quality is upscaling from 1440p. 1080p would be if DLSS is set at performance mode.

Anyway the dev patched the demo and now I run the game at native 1440p DLAA at 150+ FPS on my 4080 Super and the stutters are gone ! See how stuff get done when we the players provide our valuable feedback !? I’m 100% gonna buy the game now !
cool, so will i. lmao game is genuinely great, and if it wasn't for my perpetual poverty, i'd be getting a lot more games coming out this year. i didn't even have issues with the demo either. performance was solid.

Yup since the patch I can say that this is one of the most optimized Unreal Engine game for sure. Same for The Finals too if you are interested ! Plus it's free to play.

What you mean bro I'm running this on a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ R5 5600 + GTX 1650 Super
I am using 2070 super on an old AMD PC. I realized most of the performance and stuttering issues of most new games since 2023 was a result of Intel PC with nividia GC.

it's called a demo for a reason .... does anyone ever think to wonder why they are dropping constant updates to address stuttering issues?
I don't have stuttering issues so it could be PC set ups specific. Also, yes its just a demo.

This isn't new, many newer games has this issue and it takes time to fix because the real world has different people with different PC setups that isn't anyone else fault. At least it can be fixed most of the time for most people.

The game has a warning about playing on a hard drive versus an SSD, so I'm curious what people are using.

HDD gave me stutter and slow texture loading, SSD was silky butter.

I dont think anyone will voluntary using HDD in 2025, unless they dont know or dont have the money to upgrade

Steam's hardware survey shows 56% of people are still at 1080p, don't underestimate casuals

The people who complain about stutters and fps drops either don't have a computer good enough or they aren't familiar with the graphics settings. Just because you have a $400 graphics card doesn't mean the game is gonna run smooth for you. In their defense they did say they patched a little bit of studder.

The dev team themselves stated their low end PCs worked extremely well with the game, so they assumed higher end PCs would be fine.

Turns out, stuttering issues were mostly from high end PCs.

Yea because they didn't do any test on high en PCs. They explain everything in the dev note.
Smooth as butter on my end and I'm playing it on a HDD for now lol.

The fact that it can be run on dx11 and a hdd even on low end pcs is great.
All UE5's games should be like this.
