Play in 1080p? Or at least 16:9...
Hi, I'm trying to play with a widescreen monitor, but I can only manage to play with 4:3 resolutions without seeing black bars AND the game streched.
By now playing in 4:3 seems the only option...

It is possible to get widescreen resolutions, but there is a showstopping issue. Specifically, game is v- and the 'Build' button in the unit creation screen is cut off, so you cannot build units.

Its funny because the original disc version with the latest patch had native support for resolutions up to 2560x1600, i wonder what they messed up.

Oh i see where its faulty, when on windows 7/8 32 or 64 bit HostileSetup.exe and HostileWaters.exe must be in XP SP3 compabilty mode, however by default the Setup is in Windows 98/ME mode and the HostileWaters.exe in no compability mode.

Setting them both to XP SP3 unlocks all the resolutions and gives a great crash-free gameplay.

Hm...everytime i start the game it reverts back to Win98/ME. Most likely because of setup at start :( ...i changed the option without Steam and could change it to 1080p but when i start it over Steam the resolution is at 640x480 :meatytears: ...dont want to play it outside from Steam
