Report a translation problem
For some moment, I thought that the only reason the translation couldnt keep up with the dialogues voiced by the voice actors is because they couldnt fit in the text boxes, but no, sometimes three or four words dialogue gets changed to something completely different.
I understand that when translating something you cant do a word for word translation because some regional jokes wouldnt make sense and adaptation is always the best when its done with care and dedication, but in this game adaption is not the problem, the changes deviates too much from the characters, there are many dialogues were lines are not even translated, completely removed. It would be no surprise if someone couldnt understand that More speaks in a more formal and elegant way to speak because in many dialogues his PT-BR translation goes too direct, like he was a business character or a common citizen from any real word town, many many times the emphasis he likes to do during his speechs are not present in the translation, I simple cant understand why.
During the Virga Island Dragon Fight, Gallica points out that theres something on the Dragon's back, but in the PT-BR text it says in a way that you may think that something is BEHIND it, not in it's back. I cant remember word for word used in it, but I believe that was the case and I was like "what? that is not what Gallica said, why did they change it?" and this happens a lot.
When you're developing your links with the protagonist friends, many times and I really mean MANY TIMES the possible response texts do no match what the protagonist answers after you choose it, making you lose points or even worse, making him say something you definitely wouldnt agree.
I am close to finish the game and I am loving it, for me its one the best games I ever played along Chrono Trigger and other of my all time favorites, I am not trying to slander it or troll it, I just wanted to give this important feedback so many friends that cant understand english do not miss all the magic and love that was dedicated when writing the dialogues and events, something that the translation did hurt and erase for no reason.
I am writing it here because the patch notes post is recent, so I am taking this chance that someone that can read and direct this feedback to devs can see it. I'll still make my game review, which will be really positive, 10/10 game
