I assure you, a lot of those hours aren't going to be all that fun. There are better games for the dollar if all you care about is how much hours you will get lol. Being told a game is 100 hours, A STORY FOCUSED GAME AT THAT, I hear that it sounds bloated and slow and they add more side stories because they are unable to write a well focused game.
But aside from the hundredish hours of story content, the other advantage to this game is it runs well on even decade old machines. It's significantly less resource intensive than most modern games, and that's really useful if you're on a tight budget,
But I would urge you to try out the demo, its free and has about 10 or so hours(Possibly more if you game the systems to have near infinite MP regen in a dungeon) of content to cover to give you a fairly good taste of what the game has to offer.
even more with the greed of some companies getting to absurder levels basically every day
and no,
inflation is not an argument here, since games sold as phys copies, maybe even cartridges with "digital distribution" are not comparable
nor in terms of cost and risks for companies
neither in value fopr the customers/gamers
even less with "revokable licnses" aka "give us your rmoney, but we are free to take away what you paid for, whenever we desire to do so"
basically reducing the equivalent for the paid price to to zero beyond playing time, compared to a phys copy"
the result is: "it is all abput (good quality/fun) playing time
for a gamer it means more then ever "minmaxing"-> best bang for the buck
- prefer games that offer a maximum of "good quality playing time"
- prefer to buy "completed games" (see what happened with the persona 3 remake or games that even got multiple expansions/season-passes)
- wait for price reductions and/or sales
- prefer games from devs/companies who do not treat customers as dairy cows
- ...
