How many days did it take people to complete the first story dungeon?
I'm used to completing a whole dungeon in 1 day in Persona 5, so I'm curious what the average is. I'm on starting my third day now on Hard mode.

Planning to beat it in one day per this guide:
https://www.powerpyx.com/metaphor-refantazio-100-walkthrough/

Though I will be playing on normal not storyteller...
Apparently this game gives an exp penalty for any difficulty higher then normal, which instantly makes me not interested in harder difficulties.

I beat it in one day (Hard difficulty). Needed a bit of ecomony, consumables usage and a bit of grind with Mage for mana, but it's definitly possible.
I don't know English Achetype names, inheriting some skill from puncher Archetype that use HP instead of MP and using off-battle cheap heal from Knigh = very good economy. Also D-pad up will use this skill from Knight even if there is no Knight Achetype currently eqipped, so feel free to use this button to heal between battles.
Would probably split in two days in future tho, just because it's a bit tiring to clear long dungeon in one go.

That is the same guide that I printed out, and I am planning to use it when I start my playthroughs on my Xbox Series X and PC. Going to try and beat the first-story dungeon on normal if I can in one day, maybe two at most. Going to use the mage archetype, so I can replenish my MP and save the healing items for the boss fights if needed.

you can do it in one day. change back to mage archetype so you can replenish your MP without using any items. it can be quite grindy.
I've definitely considered swapping to Mage just to replenish MP, but like you guys said it's time consuming and grindy.

No you aren't. Most of them have mandatory roadblocks in them that boot you out, meaning you will take at least 2 days.

Ok... then I'm used to completing them in as few days as possible. Thanks for really cleaning up this discussion, I was worried people may not have understood my question.

yeah that's about it so far.

but there might be items that will help MP regen and makes dungeon clearing less grindy. Im not yet that far in the game.

Same, I was used to beat dungeons in 1-2 days, Im doing cathedral 4th day now, because mp is running out, and still not sure when will I finish it.
took 3 days for me on hard, mp was the blocker. i ran past a few fights towards the end as i didn't think id have enough mana left otherwise
i did it in one day, but i had to use all my consumables to do it. if i stocked up on healing items and leaned on brawler more, i probably could have done it with less trouble.

doable 1 day on hard, just need to grind mana most likely.
People should stop trying to powergame and be as "efficient" as possible and just enjoy the game at your own pace. This game is NOT restrictive like Persona and you never needed to do that ♥♥♥♥ in that game either.

I was having MP issues as well but then I switched to physical archetypes (warrior, brawler and knight) and the problem disappeared.
If I were to start again I'd focus on that. Brawler was a game changer.
