Lyall is working on a mod. UI is currently stretched but that may change very soon.

Yea, I tried the Lyall fix and disliked the stretched UI.

Hopefully that gets fixed.

I'm waiting on the UI to be fixed as well. He did the persona 3 remake fix didn't he? So I have hope we'll get it.

With how stylistic the UI is, plus how much portraits add to the dialogue, it's better to wait for a fix for the best experience. I don't want to play 16:9 after experiencing the world in 21:9 once the demo fix dropped haha

Lyall's v0.7.6 includes a WIP ultrawide HUD fix which fixes most stretched elements. They've since removed this function in v0.7.7 but 0.7.6 is serviceable enough for me (much better than P5R on flawless widescreen btw). Can confirm both versions work on main game.

P3R was a lot easier to fix because that is on Unreal Engine, Metaphor is on P5's engine unfortunately - so not as easy.

The stretched elements that aren't fixed yet are:
-End-of-day transition FMV
-Going into Akademia FMV
-Transition cutscene between parts of city FMV
-Portrait animation during combat start FMV
-HP/MP bars not reflecting correct values for both party and enemies - always showing as full (can check enemy health by "Analyse" however)
-Mini-map basically non-functional and character location not correct on full map
-Calendar selection windows misaligned
-Archetype selection windows misaligned

This is all tested on a 3840x1600 monitor. They are close to getting it completely fixed!

is there anything i need to do besides download and put files in metaphor folder? im not getting any changes in my game. During cutscenes and gameplay its still 16 9 what am i doing wrong? thank you

Tried the mod and it works perfectly. No stretched UI but I think they updated the mod since this discussion took place. Really baffles me that developers can't manage something that is obviously fairly simple to implement.

I am using the mod in 32:9 and it works very well compared to the demo fix. That being said there is still one issue where a shadowy border pops up on the screen when dialogue is happening in the overworld and is always present during combat. Does anyone know how to turn this off or stretch it to 32:9?

New update is out 0.7.9, works great now people

yes playing it right now. hud is restricted to the 16:9 area and not stretched. it works great.

only downside is a minor black shadow border background appears when you pick up the items thats 16:9 size, but it disappears quite fast.

Doesn't disappear fast enough for me.

Also the shadow is there whenever there's dialogue, i.e. almost always.
