Should I finish the demo after the game releases or do I just jump to the main game?

As the title said.
I'm not familiar with demos that carry over the save, so I was wondering if:

1. I'll have to redo all the content but I'll keep the items/exp
2. I have to finish the demo to continue from that point specifically
3. I can continue exactly from where I stopped in the demo if I start the main game

Is there a way to know already or only after the release?

The full game will probably use the demo steam cloud save

They already confirmed you can transfer, I'm just not sure if it carries the exact spot where you stopped or if it's only the items/exp

I'm about 80-90% sure you just load up the exact savegame you had in the demo and continue from where you left off.

You shouldn't need to continue the demo. Should be able to load your save in the full game. The demo doesn't do anything special at the end to make the save ready for the final game. It warns you before the demo ends to save to be able to carry progress over.
