Do It takes this long to beat or am I an idiot?

I just completed 166 hours and i still have 3 more dungeons before the final bossfight and I think I am becoming crazy because the game dont seems to end. I mean, even playing in the hardest difficulty for my first time I didnt find it too difficult and I had fun for the first 80 hours, but after half of the game for some reason everything became sooo time consuming, even with me skipping some dialogues and avoiding fights.

I really dont remember any behvior of mine that contributes to this besides being mesmerized by the blue dots on the map that wakes up my inner goblin, but it can't be this thing alone, because I recently saw that the ''normal'' thing was to finish the game in about 80 hours and i couldnt belive it, I must be doing something wrong

the game is on paper short. but if you actually go out of your way to talk to everyone, find everything and actually enjoy your time in the game it will last a lot longer.

this is a blessing not a curse. it means you get more out of games than most.

I completed the game basically 100% in 145 hours (on Steam, not sure what my save file time is). I looted every chest, completed every bond, finished every side quest, did every new conversation with every character on the street between every story beat, and maxed every royal archtype. No dialogue or cutscene skipping or avoiding combat (played on hard). Not sure whats taking you so long, maybe fights are taking you much longer than they could or something, but you are definitely playing way slower than most. Howlongtobeat puts completionist at only 105 hours.

Nothing wrong with taking your time on a game as long as you're enjoying it, but generally you are taking over twice the average time.

It's fine. You are taking your time. As long as you enjoy it. Atlus though does tend to have long games. I've played Persona 3 Reload, Persona 5 Royal, and partway of Persona 4 Golden. I have 107 hours in 3, 110 in 5, and 80 or so in 4. They are long games. I tend to push through fairly fast though because I stream them. Atlus makes long games though and that's one reason I like them.
