Does the game actually end?
I don't know how many "final boss fights" I have done now, but every time I get close, the bad guy floats away and my guys retreat and then I have to spend another hour mashing the A button trying to skip dialogue and navigate menus as fast as I can to actually return to the story and finish the game.

I wish the game respected my time a little bit more. Even at max button mashing speed and cheat engine's speed hack feature set to 20 to speed up the game, it still takes ages to actually get anything done.

They really should have found a better way to tell this game's story than endless dialogue boxes that slowly appear and disappear and the endless transition screens and menus.

oh my god, they want me to wait 29 days to finish the game. this will take hours of mashing menu buttons to even get to the final fight.

this is truly a hellish experience

Took me ~95 hours to beat the game + all sidequests/follower ranks, they will keep telling you its the final fight for about half of that. Ignore every single 'final fight' they tell you until it is unbelievably obvious that it is the final fight, and even then [minor spoiler about when the battle takes place] there is a full (albeit smaller) dungeon before that

Yes, the game does end. Specifically, the point of no return is upon October 26th when you are locked into the final dungeon.
After beating it I wish it didn't end, I want more Hulkenberg dammit
