IMO the game was the best up to the castle town boss. Lots of good lore, combat and music felt fresh, story was good. Then it just kind of became generic RPG.
I just got the Prince Archetype and I hugely enjoyed the last 10 hours up to it or so, but was starting to feel satisfied with the game after 70 hours. The next dungeon opened up The Skybound Avatar along with a LOT of endgame content, which I looked up because I felt overwhelmed with all the stuff to do.
Ended up finding this thread, and deciding to look up the final two hours on youtube instead, which was a great experience. Had I continued on, I would probably have started hating the game.
