I even felt bad and a shed a tear for someone I never met (Heismays son) or someone who did atrocious crimes like Joanna (and second lady later on). There's another character that dies very late in the end who you know for a long time and that suprised and saddend me as well especially after making a promise that will never come true with that one. Grius and his efforts were also never forgotten by the cast and side character, which shows how every character in this game mattered. There's even a support character that might catch you off guard in his/her last 2 support ranks...
On a side note, since I think I'm the only one feeling like this:
Joanna who is seemingly universally hated by the community impacted me also more than I expected. I think it's amazing who she didn't hide or run away and knew 100 % she would be executed when she showed up in Brilehaven. She walked towards her own execution, how many people would be able to do that? She ended the lives of many innocent people, but let's not ignore how before she became crazy, her life and that of her loved ones got also destroyed by society. She walked towards certain death to make this publicly known. And because she hoped our MC and his group will create a world where nobody will have to suffer the same fate as her child. I can't help but love the not black/white writing here.
