Don't delete anything in this - I've only write about my recommended settings.
I understand metaphorfix is a different mod. I was just referring to the fact that he mentions a "metaphor.ini" on the linked page, which does not exist (for me, at least). I chalked it up to a mistype and assumed they meant metaphorfix.ini (again, even though these are 2 separate "mods", the instructions are to use metaphorfix first and they go on to link their "metaphor.ini", which is actually metaphorfix.ini so it could be a little confusing at first).
On the linked page there are no instructions as to where you copy the TAA mod files upon extracting. Maybe if you are experienced using reshade it's a no brainer, and either way I just assumed (again) that it would be extracted to the same default game folder. Just saying it may help some people to mention that somewhere (did I miss it?) to avoid confusion.
EDIT: "lol"
Thanks for the responses! Yea, I just assumed that. I don't have much experience with reshade, etc., but I just dropped everything right in the default directory and it worked. Game looks fantastic with your settings (seems about perfect for my 4070 Super @60fps max settings 4k)
My only problem with the game at this point (I'm playing the demo) is that, for whatever reason, the sound is really screwed up. I use equalization settings with my realtek driver and that's just how I listen to everything coming from my PC. This game seems to ignore the EQ but also the sound is REALLLLLLY low. I have to turn it up to almost 300% where I would normally have the volume for any other game/video/etc. I literally just started playing, though, so maybe there's info out there regarding this.
In the original version there was info about the MetaphorFIX with the settings I recommend, then installation instructions and links to the mod. The instructions landed lower under updates, which didn't make sense - of course I corrected that, hopefully it will be clearer for others.
Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
At this point I have no idea what else to improve, and finally I'm just starting to play - it already suits me as it is ;).
Yes, I see it mentions "just extract to the game's folder" in the paragraph that starts with "Additionally, I've prepared a preset for the Steam Deck....". I stopped reading that paragraph since I figured from then on it was talking about steam deck instructions. My fault, heh.
Like I said, I just started playing but the game looks MUCH nicer on my PC than it does on my brother's Xbox Seriex X. The amount of aliasing was so bad it looked like it HAD to be intentional (why? I don't know...). Game looks really really nice with the mod and your recommended settings on PC - so thanks!
btw, I'm using Alternate Preset 2 (4k)
so does the latest update fix most of the ghosting but causes crashes?
In Alternative 3 version there is a slight ghosting in top parts of the screen when dialogues apears, but most of other parts are fixed. I can't do anything about it, because simply the central part of the screen would not have AA. I chose the lesser of two evils.
English is not my native language, so sometimes I may write something incorrectly or change the meaning of my thoughts.
