Is the time mechanic as punishing as persona?
Persona games are very long and I like trying to complete everything a game has to offer... unfortunately this means that I typically play Persona games with a spoiler-free guide, which really takes a lot out of the experience but I don't like replaying such long RPGs.

Is this game the same?

Well, the time mechanic in Persona isn't punishing either lol. Good news is based on a reviewer and someone who got the game early, you can do everything in a single run sans a select few things that might require NG+.

Without spoilering much, the time mechanic apparently also becomes irrelevant at a certain point in the game, letting you catch up (i.e. travel to dungeons, revisit places) without expending any time.

I found maxing social links and such in Persona 4G and 5R very challenging without a guide, and even sometimes getting requirements for true ending and such. I hope that this game really lets you catch up.

Yes, the metaphor reddit. There are several people who got it early. I guess I could try and find the two I read yesterday, meh.
