I absolutely loved punk/pop punk music during my teens but didn't care a jot for the political sermons bands wanted to give you when you went to their shows. Just ignored it and enjoyed the music part.
I suspect there will be a rug pull on this at some point and the 'humans' in the game will be from said utopia, having suffered some ironic tragic fate.
If not then yes, it is pretty funny for the game to champion tolerance whilst also saying the 'ultimate fantasy' is a world with only one race.

It's not nearly as forced in the original JP version.
I highly doubt the people they hire to write these stories have the intellectual capacity to write a mature story. Speaking as a Dark Fantasy writer myself, I see this problem in every industry because the people who are hired to lead writing teams are not done so based on merit, they are hired to check boxes or are nepotism hires.
Normally i agree and say that this is the best advise , its why i stopped listening to the conversations in the city there, its all the same theme. but in this game i think it will be pretty hard to ignore since they are so deadset on pointing it out at every corner.
Agree, so far the "worldbuildung" seems to be this games weakes point with overly relying on its theme. the mainstory with the prince and the rising of a new ruler could be good, if the game would focus more on that in the future.
yeah, i thought something similiar as well the first time they mentioned humans.
not that i disagree but do you speak japanese yourself or you maybe have a source with some more accurate translation? that would really interest me if it is so.
i play the game with german text, but sadly the german subtitles are 1 to 1 translation from the eng dub.
I think the vocabulary often is erroneously mistaking race and species.
Fantasy worlds really have completely unrelated species. Humans, Elves, etc.
This is the case in Euchronia (same as Dragon Age, LOTR, etc) and why there is inter-specie hatred. It's like IRL if there were humans and Aliens.
However the real world has humans divided into races, but saying that this society is still immensely better than a society with different species and hatred.
TLDR: The game doesn't say that there is only one race on the planet and that everyone should somehow mix or disappear lol. It's saying there is only humanity, and people of different races live peacefully in that humanity. Which isn't the case IRL (there is strife for various reasons, religious, etc) but whatever.
i am pretty sure that when they talk about the book that they say that the book story was "inspirational" and that it would be "great if such a world could be made" or something similiar in that regard and the author himself said that he is wishing for such a world.....pretty sure thats the game way painting the book utopie as "good" to the player. wether the player actually believes that is another thing entirely.
Still even if we take the book as neutral. it still wouldnt fix the overaching problem of the game of hamfisting its theme all the time.
