Chances that many people will download it for free instead of buying are really high.
I hate Denuvo too, but in this particular case it's reasonable for sure.
Denuvo is totally harmless to your pc
Smearing people as thieves because they don't want malware that has no benefit to the consumer attached to their game is the go to tactic for trolls and corporate bootlickers.
I have something like 400+ games on Steam and software on my PC that costs more than the rent on your basement apartment that I need to use daily so I have no interest in having PC issues because I download cracked software.
Further your smear propagates the myth that piracy equates to lost sales. There is no reason to believe so. Most piracy happens outside the US in 3rd world countries that can't afford $60 or $70 games thus they look for alternatives.
Denuvo is not harmless as has been proven time and again. Below is a video the highly respected Digital Foundry put out for Resident Evil Village.
Resident Evil Village PC DRM: Cracked Code Really Does Run Better - Confirmed
There's also the director of Tekken that has openly blamed Denuvo for poor PC performance:
Tekken 7 Director Says Denuvo DRM Is Causing Performance Issues In The Game[wccftech.com]
There's just example after example of this. The only people propagating the notion that there's no risk of Denuvo harming PC performance are the corporations themselves or their obedient and docile fanboys.
Thanks for proving further it doesn't harm your PC.
Having the game run at a worse frame rate with denuvo on vs off != harming your PC
Don't try to re-frame the issue.
What part of Denuvo having no benefit to the consumer and harming performance of the product they bought is difficult for you to understand?
Waiting for the release hyped AF.
There's no reason to trust it.
I'll be enjoying the game on release. Can't wait.
I don't know about performance but the fact that you have to check online to their servers (by starting the game online once) ever so often (2 weeks I believe) is a reason I don't like Denuvo. If you use a handheld PC like the Steam Deck, there may be a time where you travel out but forget to start the game once. Denuvo then locks you out. Sure, you can always do it through various means, but it's aggravating as hell. Denuvo has also reportedly had server issues that locked many players out of games.
Denuvo just sucks.
clearly you dont hate denuvo if you are damage controlling for it in the steam forums. I dont pirate games but i hate denuvo because of its impact on performance. It needs to go. Also not buying a 70 dollar game because that nonsense needs to go as well. Ill get this on discount.
