In Persona 5 the art style is cool but now they overdo it in this game.
Everything on the UI is moving, shaking and blinking.

You definitely want to turn on your light when you play this.

I only agree specifically with effects, I think the blurs and magic details tend to hurt my eyes when sprinting around dungeons etc.

but generally I think the game looks fine aside from that overstimulation.

Even worse when it does not support ultrawide and you have narrow FOV and black bars on the side of your screen. The UI and text boxes are too big and busy.

??? Why was this flagged? Thats really weird. Anyways. I didn't think the style was too bad. Like many have said the overall graphics are pretty sub-par, but as far as the UI is concerned I'm fine with it.
in my case, i don't have problems with the UI, for me it's perfect, no are much art

Never had a problem with Persona 5... except the size of the UI which was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ too big.

I only have one issue with the UI and its awkward to articulate. I feel like the angling on the pause menu options is...too steep? I guess? It just feels uncomfortable. But otherwise I actually like the art direction, effects and style.

I will say, as much as I can appreciate the maximalist and really flashy look of Persona 5 this feels a little off to me.

I'm a casual SMT fan having only (finished) Persona 4 on the Vita and both Digital Devil Saga games, and having played a bit of SMT3 and 5. Huge admirer of the artwork, especially Kazuma Kaneko's stuff (DDS designs are out of this world good), and generally have really wanted to dive into Persona more (but am always hesitant to start something that lengthy!).

I was really thinking I'd go all-in on Metaphor, but now that we're so close and I start to look at it... it really isn't doing much for me...

i despise the moving text boxes. it makes it far harder to read while adding nothing

Everything is way over-designed. It's as if a bunch of ideas were presented and instead of choosing which to go with, somebody in charge just said "yes."

And for a fantasy game... the fashion and the architecture doesn't spell fantasy to me. It's as Fantasy as Final Fantasy XV is. First picture you see ingame is literally showing cars.

its based on the 1960's and the cars are not in the world of the game but instead illustrations in the fantasy book the character is reading.

It's almost as if fantasy is not one cookie cutter mold.
